Conan O’Brien can’t fool Kelly Ripa.

On Live with Kelly and Mark‘s After The Oscars Show on Monday, viewers were treated to a montage of Ripa and Mark Consuelos‘ chats with last night’s big winners, and also got a peek at their talk with the Oscars host on Hollywood’s biggest night.

“By the way, you’re distractingly handsome,” O’Brien told Consuelos.

Though he assured Ripa that she is “very beautiful,” O’Brien acknowledged that he doesn’t “get much time in person” with Consuelos.

“We’re very close,” Consuelos teased of their proximity backstage, as O’Brien said that he “sense[s] a chemistry here.”

O’Brien then told the two co-hosts that he watches Live, prompting Ripa to reply, “That is such bullshit.”

However, O’Brien claimed, “I never miss an episode, and I can tell that there is so much thought that goes into the timing of every single thing. And that’s the people you have around you.”

Ripa joked, “The fact you just said that lets us know that you’ve never seen a single episode of our show.”

In the full video of their interview on Live‘s YouTube page, O’Brien reiterated that he does watch the show, praising the couple’s “great chemistry.” However, he did question how the married co-hosts could work together.

“I love my wife, but that’s too much time together,” O’Brien said.

Consuelos told O’Brien that they “only see each other in the morning,” leading O’Brien to ask what they “do the rest of the day.”

Ripa joked, “And then he goes home to his regular apartment, and then I go back to the mansion.”

Many have raved about O’Brien’s work as Academy Awards host on Sunday, as well as some of the other bits pulled during last night’s awards show, including Nick Offerman serving as announcer.
