NextImg:Kelly Ripa Claims She Has Finally Found Mark Consuelos’ “Weakness” On ‘Live’ — And It’s Not What You’re Expecting

More On:

Kelly Ripa

Who knew Mark Consuelos could have flaws? It seems his wife and Live with Kelly and Mark co-host Kelly Ripa might have just cracked him.

On this morning’s episode, the two got to talking about writing in script, prompting Ripa to share that their children “went to a school where they did not teach cursive.”

“And they told us parents that it wasn’t a thing, but I thought they were joking!” she said.

She then brought up how someone had just discovered a bunch of thank you notes that her and Consuelos’ kids had written them for the holidays over the years, noting how “lovely and thrilling” it was “to have these moments in time” captured in their handwriting.

However, her sentimental nature didn’t last too long.

“And then when I look at their handwriting then, versus now, it’s exactly the same!” she exclaimed. “It is frozen in time!”

She said that she “should’ve taught” her children how to write in script, adding that she’s “very pro-handwriting [and] still writes letters.”

This anecdote must have hit just the write nerve for Consuelos, as he was immediately reminded of his childhood.

“You haven’t lived until you’ve had my dad, Tony Consuelos, stand over you in fifth or sixth grade and watch me do penmanship,” he revealed.

While both he and Ripa highlighted that his father has “immaculate penmanship,” Consuelos recalled that “one of the remarks in [his] parent-teacher conferences was that [his] handwriting was very sloppy.”

“So he was gonna fix that!” he quipped. “By standing over me! The only worse thing was filling out the bubble things for like your college applications.”

A perplexed Ripa then asked if he was “not good at filling out the bubbles,” to which he replied, “my fine motor skills aren’t so great.”

Ripa exclaimed, “Huh! We found the weakness!”

We hate to burst your bubble, but it seems as though nobody’s perfect — not even Mark Consuelos.
