Who let the dogs out? If by “dogs,” you mean “feet,” then Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos certainly did on this morning’s episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, with a Chinese reflexology segment centering on sensual foot massages.
Ripa began the final segment of the episode by exclaiming, “Get ready, all you WikiFeet weirdos!”
As part of “Live’s Body Boosters” week, touch therapy expert Michelle Ebbin was welcomed onto the show for the second time, following her last appearance in 2004. She guided the co-host couple as they took turns massaging each other’s feet and learning about the points on the feet that when rubbed, target other parts of the body and heal them.
When Consuelos was instructed to rub Ripa’s big toes, which according to Ebbin, would target the brain and help to alleviate headaches, Ripa joked, “This is hard for him, because he’s never done any foot work without expecting some sort of sexual encounter on the flip side.”
Once it was time for commercial break and for Consuelos to try his hand (or feet) at reflexology, he told the audience, “When we come back, I’m going to jump in the chair and we’re going to discuss the best spot on the foot to improve your romantic life,” eliciting some excitement from the audience and an “Oh, God” from Ripa.
At least Consuelos was visibly enjoying his foot massage, sharing that it felt “amazing.”
Ebbin and Ripa had already targeted his shoulders and liver through different points on his feet when Ripa asked about “romance,” particularly the location of the areas that pinpoint the “errogenous zones” of the body.
“I’m a romantic!” Consuelos admitted, as the background music transitioned from soothing to seductive.
As Ebbin and Ripa found said areas, Consuelos’ raised his eyebrows in a giddy grin, nodding his head, and ultimately crying out, “Bingo!”
“My eyes are tearing up,” he continued. “I’m getting emotional.”
The segment was definitely pushing the envelope, but hats off (and shoes off) to Ripa and Consuelos for always keeping us on our toes.
