This street performer had to “Catch Her Breath.”
Kelly Clarkson shocked one unsuspecting street performer in Las Vegas Saturday when she stopped to perform Tina Turner’s classic “What’s Love Got to Do with It?”
Posting the encounter on her Instagram, Clarkson, 41, revealed that she was on her way for a sound check when she stumbled upon the performer.
“I was on my way to soundcheck for @iHeartRadio tonight in Vegas,” wrote the songstress. “And was tipping this incredible woman killing some Tina Turner and then she asked me to sing and had no clue who I was, and then it hit her, and it made my day.”
In the clip, Clarkson, who donned all black, can be seen belting out the tune while the performer — who has not been identified — dances around her.
After a few bars of music, the performer can be seen recognizing the “Since U Been Gone” singer and rushes in for a hug.
“Are you f–king kidding me,” exclaims the woman as she and Clarkson exchange a few words and a second hug.
“She gives the best hugs and sings her tail off,” Clarkson said in her post before concluding “see you tonight Las Vegas.”
The Post reached out to Clarkson for comment.
Several fans commented on the encounter in the comment section.
“‘Are you f–king kidding me’ is the appropriate thing to say when you meet Kelly Clarkson,” laughed one fan.
“This just put the biggest smile on my face. Protect these two at all costs,” gushed a second fan.
“And this is why you will forever be America’s #1 American Idol,” simpered a third person.
“This is what sets @kellyclarkson apart from the rest of them,” lauded one fan. “So pure and genuine.”
The Grammy winner, who just wrapped her residency in Sin City, took part in the iHeartRadio Music Festival at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena, which also featured Sheryl Crow, Tim McGraw, Lenny Kravitz and The Foo Fighters.
This is not the first time that Clarkson has made a surprise singing appearance.
In June, the former “American Idol” winner serenaded several Los Angeles shoppers in an effort to promote her brand-new album “Chemistry.”
Arjun Rai, a tech guru, said that he was in the middle of a work meeting when the singer strode up and burst out singing.
“@kellyclarkson During My Meetings in LA raising capital for my startup @SelfTact / @WoofyHQ. Shooosh,” tweeted the CEO.
Following the performance, Rai said Clarkson went up to the cash register and ordered a vanilla latte.
