Love Hurts star Ke Huy Quan made a shocking confession when he stopped by The Drew Barrymore Show.
Drew Barrymore and Quan kicked off their interview together by looking back at the time Steven Spielberg introduced them to each other as kids and took them to the zoo in London while filming the 1984 film Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Barrymore was 9 when the film debuted, while Quan was 12.
While showing pictures Spielberg personally took of them at the zoo, Quan announced, “You know, I’m gonna make a confession. I’ve never told anybody this but since I’m so excited being on [The Drew Barrymore Show], when we went to the zoo, I had a crush on you.”
Barrymore gasped in shock and covered her face. “You did?!” she responded.
Quan continued, “I had a crush on you. I thought you were so cute, beautiful, and we’re having this fun time. And when we came back, remember we had a date night at a Benihana.”
Barrymore then had her own slightly embarrassing confession to make.

“Do you know what’s so funny? I’ve never admitted this to you either,” she began. “You and I were hanging out and I ate a chocolate covered banana and then I went to the bathroom and I had a crush on you, too. And I went to the bathroom and there was chocolate literally… not at the sides of the mouth, full clown face.”
She continued, “And I remember thinking, ‘From now on if you’re to eat food in front of someone just don’t go that hog wild.’ I’ll never forget.”
Barrymore and Quan both agreed that working with Spielberg when they were children changed their lives “forever.”
Barrymore famously starred in Spielberg’s sci-fi classic ET in 1982, while Quan’s first-ever acting role was in Spielberg’s Temple of Doom opposite Harrison Ford.
