Kayvon Thibodeaux certainly thinks the Giants’ defensive line won its matchup with the Jets’ offensive line during the pair of joint practices this week.

Asked Thursday for an assessment of Gang Green quarterback Justin Fields, Thibodeaux said it would be difficult for him to give one because of what transpired Tuesday in Florham Park and Wednesday at the Giants’ facility.

“Man, it’s tough for quarterbacks right now, especially in practice,” Thibodeaux said. “Especially for us. We got guys like me, [Brian] Burns, [Dexter Lawrence], Chauncey [Golston], [Rakeem Nunez-Roches], [Fields] was under a little bit of pressure. So I can’t really give you a full analysis on what I think of him as a quarterback because he did have to run and scramble and do a lot of things. Yeah, you guys have to probably take a look at that on your own.”

It wasn’t a glowing endorsement of the Jets’ O-line — the starters surrendered four sacks Wednesday, according to The Post’s Ryan Dunleavy — as they try to anchor an offense that has struggled in camp, but that type of performance isn’t new for the Giants’ defensive line this summer.

It has dominated training camp and the Giants’ offensive line at many points — with Burns, Lawrence, Thibodeaux, rookie Abdul Carter and others all making it difficult for the offense to operate.

Every snap has become a “race to the quarterback,” Thibodeaux said.

Clips of dynamic pass-rushing moves have become routine. And for two days, in Thibodeaux’s eyes, they helped replicate that havoc by disrupting any potential rhythm for Fields.

Head coach Brian Daboll declined to reveal whether the Giants’ starters will play in a second consecutive preseason game, but he added the joint practices won’t impact his final decision — which he planned to make following their walk-through Thursday.

“I wouldn’t say it affects it,” Daboll said. “Again, we’ll end up making the decision we think is best. There’s no substitute for tackling. There’s no substitute for cleaning the pocket. There’s no substitute for run after catch when you’re going to get hit. There’s no substitute for being live as a quarterback in the pocket.”

Paulson Adebo, who has matched up with Malik Nabers throughout the summer, has been impressed by the second-year wideout’s “elite” traits and has embraced the challenge of matching up against him.

“Young or not, he’s doing some things that it doesn’t matter how many years you’ve been in the league,” Adebo said. “He really is elite with the things that he does and his body control and catching the ball down the field and burst. Literally, there’s no knock to the game. Coming out of routes. Running every route. So you really do have to prepare for everything with him.”

Daboll didn’t have an injury update on Nabers (toe), who hasn’t practiced since last Wednesday.

On paper, Thibodeaux could’ve been an option for the Jets to draft, too. They held the No. 4 pick in 2022 — one spot ahead of where the Giants eventually took Thibodeaux — and ultimately selected Sauce Gardner, but Thibodeaux wasn’t necessarily expecting to join Gang Green after his pre-draft visit.

He was tired. Jet-lagged. So during one test that “was just messing me up,” he quit participating in it — and then thought, “Yeah, they might not take me off that,” Thibodeaux joked ahead of Saturday’s Giants-Jets preseason game.
