Katie Stevens is a mom!
The “Bold Type” alum quietly gave birth to her and husband Paul DiGiovanni’s first baby last month.
“She’s here ???? 2.23.23,” the actress wrote via Instagram Monday.
“Our sweet Rome, we are so in love with you.”
Stevens, 29, kept quiet about her pregnancy, waiting until the CMA Awards in November 2022 to reveal her baby bump.
The then-expectant star walked the red carpet in a periwinkle gown that hugged her budding belly. She and DiGiovanni, 34, were all smiles cradling her stomach.
Stevens shared the “surprise” with her Instagram followers later that evening.
“Seriously, like, have you seen my silhouette? Sheesh. It’s giving main character energy,” the “American Idol” alum mouthed in a Reel, set to “Rabbit Hole” by Qveen Herby.
Later that same month, Stevens posted a “photo bump … i mean dump” via Instagram, giving a glimpse of her pregnancy progress over the “last few months.”
Four years prior to her reveal, the singer told Elle that she “would love” to have children.
Stevens, who was engaged to DiGiovanni at the time, went on to explain that she met the musician when he moved in with her best guy friend.
“I saw a photo of them at a Clippers/Celtics game,” the “Faking It” alum recalled in the July 2018 interview.
“So I texted [my friend] Gavie and said, ‘Who is that?’ He was like, ‘That’s my new roommate,’ so I said, ‘Cool, I’m coming over.'”
While the pair dated for five years before DiGiovanni proposed in February 2018, Stevens knew that she would marry the guitarist after dating him “for a couple of months.”
The duo tied the knot in Nashville in October 2019.
Stevens called the ceremony the “best day of [her] life” while celebrating their anniversary in October 2022.
“I love you @paulblg and I’m so lucky that I get to live life with you,” she gushed in an Instagram tribute featuring their wedding vows. “Still so grateful that I get to be loved by you. Happy Anniversary ????.”
In the throwback audio, the bride called DiGiovanni “the kindest and most amazing man,” saying, “Every day I have to pinch myself to prove that this isn’t a dream.”
