The Princess of Wales is celebrating her country through style.

On Wednesday, Kate Middleton stepped out with Prince William to visit Pontypridd in South Wales ahead of the national celebration of St. David’s Day on March 1.

Princess Kate, 43, honored the nation by wearing a double-breasted red Alexander McQueen coat — one of the shades of the Welsh national flag.

Both she and William topped their looks off with daffodil pins, as an homage to the national flower of Wales and a symbol affiliated with St. David’s Day.

Under Middleton’s Wales-coded look, she wore a brown turtleneck top, a brown Gucci plaid pleated skirt and brown suede Gianvito Rossi pointed-toe boots.

She added another hint of red with garnet hoop earrings by Spells of Love ($93) while her husband coordinated with a burgundy sweater over his light blue shirt, paired with navy blue pants and a brown blazer.

Later in the day, the royal couple visited a community garden in the same town and swapped her heavy coat for a Ralph Lauren cropped blazer that she’s had for more than 20 years.

Middleton recently wore the same long red coat in December, when she took a trip to Westminster Abbey for her fourth annual “Together at Christmas” carol service.

For a more festive ensemble, she layered the coat over a plaid Emilia Wickstead midi skirt and black suede Ralph Lauren boots, and added a black velvet bow around her neck.

While Middleton has always been fashion-forward, The Sunday Times UK published an article on Feb. 1, where a palace source revealed that she will be scaling back on sharing info about her looks and instead wants the public to focus on her work.

“There is an absolute feeling that it [the public work] is not about what the princess is wearing,” the source told the outlet. “She wants the focus to be on the really important issues, the people and the causes she is spotlighting.”

However, after receiving backlash, Kensington Place cleared the air in a statement shared with People the following week, reiterating that the quote didn’t come directly from Middleton.

“Over the last week, I have received numerous questions about a story regarding The Princess of Wales’s clothing and how Kensington Palace shares information about her outfits,” a Kensington Place spokesperson told the outlet.

The source added, “To clarify, the comments that appeared in the article were from me, not The Princess of Wales. The comments that were reported should not be directly attributed to The Princess of Wales.”

We can’t wait to see what other Welsh looks Middleton flaunts next.
