Kareem Hunt paid tribute to Nick Chubb in his return to the team.

Hunt wore a Chubb jersey while entering the Cleveland Browns Stadium ahead of the team’s 1 p.m. ET contest against the Tennessee Titans in Week 3.

Chubb suffered a season-ending injury Monday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers on a tackle from defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick.

The four-time Pro Bowler was feared to have a possible season-ending torn ACL, but actually avoided the worst-case scenario in the 26-22 loss. He reportedly only suffered a torn MCL, and avoided a career-ending injury.

Chubb was an All-Pro Second Team running back after rushing for 1,525 yards last season, and he also tied a career-high 12 touchdowns on the ground.

His streak of four straight Pro Bowl appearances will end due to his injury, and losing Chubb makes the Browns’ path to the postseason even harder.

It hasn’t helped that the team has received shaky play from quarterback Deshaun Watson, who did not pick up the slack Monday after Chubb exited.

In college, Chubb also suffered a serious knee injury that ended his sophomore season prematurely following a campaign that saw him win SEC Freshman of the Year.

Then a Heisman candidate at Georgia, Chubb injured his knee on his lone carry in the team’s sixth game of the season at Tennesee. Chubb returned the following season.

Needing to add depth following Chubb’s injury, the Browns signed a familiar friend in Hunt to a one-year deal worth up to $4 million following.

The one-time Pro Bowl back didn’t begin the season on a roster and spent his last four campaigns with the Browns after beginning his career with the Chiefs.

The Browns still planned to utilize Jerome Ford, who played well after Chubb exited Monday’s game, and figured to use Hunt as a complement to Ford.

Hunt rushed for 468 yards and three touchdowns spanning 17 games last year, while adding 210 receiving yards and one touchdown.
