Vice President Kamala Harris is proud of the work she and President Joe Biden have completed over the past four years.

On this morning’s episode of The View, Harris sat down for her first live interview since becoming the Democratic nominee when Biden dropped out of the race back in July. With the polls showing her neck and neck with former president Donald Trump, Sunny Hostin asked some hard-hitting questions — like whether Harris would’ve done anything differently than Biden during his time in office.

“There is not a thing that comes to mind,” Harris admitted. “I’ve been a part of most of the decisions that have had impact.”

The VP then pointed to their work capping the cost of insulin at $35 a month for seniors as well as allowing Medicare to “negotiate drug prices and bring the cost of prescription medication down for seniors,” which she’d like to expand for all Americans when she becomes POTUS.

“The work we have done to invest in American industries, whether it be in terms of manufacturing and creating almost 800,000 new jobs around manufacturing, those were all a shared priority,” Harris added.

While Harris worked closely with Biden on many of these issues, she also promised to bring something a little “different” to the table if she’s elected president.

“We’re obviously two different people,” she said. “We have a lot of shared life experiences — for example, the way we feel about our family and our parents and so on. But we’re also different people and I will bring those sensibilities to how I lead.”

Not only does Harris want to focus more on home healthcare, violence against women and children, and small businesses, but she also shared her plan to put a Republican in her cabinet.

“You asked me what’s the difference between Joe Biden and me. That will be one of the differences,” she said. “I’m gonna have a Republican in my cabinet. Because I don’t feel burdened by letting pride get in the way of a good idea.”

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
