NextImg:Kamala Harris’ Islamophobia strategy: Letters to the Editor — Nov. 8, 2023

Again, this administration goes into a “Don’t believe what you see; believe what I tell you” routine (“Pols defending haters from hate,” Douglas Murray, Nov. 3). It’s happened so many times I’ve lost count.

In The Post, there have been stories of antisemitism — individuals ripping down Israeli hostage posters, others shouting vile hate speech against the Jews, and Hamas vowing to kill Jews again and again.

And yet this braindead Democratic administration, according to the clueless vice president, is developing a strategy to counter Islamophobia.

The problem of antisemitism has increased substantially over the last month. But is President Biden worried about that? Of course not.

At a time when antisemitic attacks and antisemitism are on the rise in the United States, you’d think the Biden administration would focus on this issue — but instead our vice president is focused on Islamophobia.

US campuses are not suffering from Islamophobia. But there have been attacks against people of the Jewish faith.

But the reason why Vice President Kamala Harris is doing this is clear. Rep. Rashida Tlaib told the Biden administration that if they support Israel, they will lose votes. The Biden administration cares more about votes than human rights and freedom.

The clown Harris has found the root of hate in America. No, it’s not crimes against the Jews, who are the victims of hatred — rather it’s crimes against Muslims, who are the victims of Islamophobia.

Jews represent 2.4% of the population but are targeted in 60% of religiously motivated hate crime — far more frequently than Muslims.

Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, when asked about antisemitism, responded by discussing Islamophobia.

When Harris recently spoke about antisemitism, she pivoted to an admonishment about Islamophobia. Just what conclusion could one reach from this?

So Biden wants to fight Islamophobia in order to maintain Muslim votes. It’s actually a pretty clever move on his part, as he knows many Jews will vote for the Democrats no matter what. So why fight antisemitism?

I’m thankful for the country of Israel, which will protect all Jews everywhere.

Either former President Barack Obama is stupid or he is quite biased (“War-room Bam plays both sides,” Nov. 6).

He is certainly not stupid, so that only leaves the option of him being biased against the state of Israel.

He must have forgotten that Gazans elected Hamas to govern them after Israel abandoned Gaza in 2005. Everything that occurs in Gaza is Hamas’ responsibility, including the diversion of world aid from the Palestinians unfortunate enough to be held as human shields against their will.

Remember, it was his failures in Syria and his appeasement of Iran that created the unrest in the region.

Obama making a moral equivalence between Israel and Hamas is disgusting.

Perhaps now he should be less vocal, given the disasters his foreign policy created because of some ideological, progressive agenda. The disorder in that part of the world has his signature on it.
