NextImg:Justin Timberlake once laughed off being told ‘not’ to sing ‘Cry Me a River’: ‘F-k that’

Cry him a river.

Justin Timberlake previously revealed that he was urged to no longer perform his single “Cry Me a River,” which was allegedly about his split from ex Britney Spears.

In a resurfaced video from Dave Chappelle’s sold-out Madison Square Garden show in August, the *NSYNC member took to the stage to give the crowd a performance of his 2002 hit song.

“They said not to do this song no more,” he told the audience at the time, according to a clip circulating on Twitter, before adding, “F–k that!”

Page Six has reached out to both Timberlake and Spears’ reps but did not immediately hear back.

Several of the “SexyBack” singer’s past comments have re-emerged days before Spears’ bombshell memoir, “The Woman in Me,” is set to be released on Oct. 24.

As Page Six previously reported, Timberlake, 42, also once threatened to reveal “every dirty thing” about the Princess of Pop, whom he dated from 1999 to 2002.

“I dated Britney half my life but I don’t know that person anymore. I’m not sure I knew her before,” he told journalist Robert Haskell in a 2006 profile, according to a screenshot shared on Twitter Thursday.

“If I was writing an article about her, I would not be able to fight the urge to write every dirty thing about her.”

Excerpts from Spears’ memoir have slowly leaked to the public.

In the book, the “Gimme More” singer, 41, revealed she had an abortion during her three-year relationship with Timberlake.

Though Spears said she “loved Justin so much” and “always expected” for them to have a family together one day, she said that he “wasn’t happy” about the pregnancy due to their young age.

“I’m sure people will hate me for this, but I agreed not to have the baby,” she wrote, per People. “I don’t know if that was the right decision. If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father.”

The “… Baby One More Time” songstress also revealed that Timberlake — who broke up with the former Mousketeer via a two-word text — cheated on her with “another celebrity” during their relationship.

After the forthcoming book made headlines, Spears spoke out, sharing that she didn’t mean to “offend anyone by any means.”

“My motive for this book was not to harp on my past experiences which is what the press is doing and it’s dumb and silly !!!” she tweeted Friday. “I have moved on since then !!!”
