Observations from practice at Jets training camp on Tuesday:
After getting outplayed by the first team defense for much of practice, the offense put together a strong drive to close out the day, capped by a Justin Fields 15-yard touchdown pass to rookie tight end Mason Taylor.
Fields, in his first full practice since suffering a dislocated right toe Thursday, used his legs to pick up a first down during the drive-the-field 11-on-11 team drill.
Receiver Arian Smith dropped a pass in space from Fields. The rookie fourth-round pick, known for his speed, has a reputation for drops.
Taylor also had a pass go through his hands.
The starting defensive line enjoyed a strong day, repeatedly getting penetration.
Micheal Clemons and Jamien Sherwood had would-be sacks of Fields.

Running back Braelon Allen (knee soreness) was held out of practice. Coach Aaron Glenn doesn’t expect him to miss much time. With a day off Wednesday, Glenn wanted to give Allen a few days of rest.
