Cher once made Julianne Hough cry on the set of Burlesque — but in the best way possible.

On Sunday night’s (Aug. 18) episode of Watch What Happens Live, Hough took a short break from flirting with 24-year-old skateboarding Olympian Tom Schaar to reveal one of her fondest memories from working alongside the pop icon on their 2010 musical drama.

“It was really cool, actually,” Hough said on the WWHL: After Show, noting that she did her “first-ever” scene for the movie with Cher.

“It was when my character Georgia was in the bathroom throwing up because she found out she was pregnant,” Hough continued. “And I remember, it was my first real film that I had ever done and I had just been crying for take after take after take. “

According to Hough, she was nervous that she wouldn’t be able to cry when the camera turned to her since she had been doing it so many times.

“I remember she knocked on the door. She came in. She came in the bathroom stall with me and she goes, ‘I just want you to know that you deserve to be here. You are so amazing,'” Hough recalled, adding that she started to weep after that.

She continued, “I think she could tell I was nervous so that feeling of feeling seen and known by Cher, she made me feel so good that it made me cry.”

Like the professional she was, Cher immediately called on cameras to start rolling, Hough said.

“So I don’t know if it was that she actually meant that or she was like, ‘I know how to make her feel good to get those tears going,'” she joked. “It was very sweet.”

Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
