She’s back!
After momentarily ditching her platinum hair and statement-making style for a more natural brunette look, Julia Fox was seen in New York City on Saturday looking like her old self.
Not only is the “Uncut Gems” actress, 34, back to rocking lighter locks, she also opted to show some skin for the occasion, wearing a form-fitting, cropped yellow turtleneck with barbell piercings and a maxi skirt made entirely of underwear.
The stretchy, low-rise skirt was layered with the tops of boxer shorts, all of which were different colors and prints that ranged from red plaid pick to solid royal blue.
Despite the warmer summer weather, Fox still chose to bundle up a bit, styling a sporty gray jacket over her outfit and topping things off with a black purse and pointed-toe pumps.
Her makeup was equally bold, featuring dramatic, upward-turned eyebrows and yellow eyeshadow.
Such a quirky ensemble prompted people to share their thoughts, with InStyle comparing Fox to a popular “Friends” character.
“Could @juliafox be wearing any more clothes?” the publication wrote on Instagram. “Pull up on the street style star’s piercing Joey Tribbiani-esque layered look.”
While some commenters agreed, with one person noting that the “Down the Drain” author was “So Joey coded,” another person wrote “No … just no.”
Photographer Babak Rachpoot also shared multiple photos of Fox’s outfit and followers were quick to quote a Charli XCX song in reference to the look.

“Guess the color of her underwear,” someone joked while another paid the “OMG Fashun” judge a compliment.
“Omggggg. The boxer skirt is EVERYTHING wtffff. Obsessed. ????”
Of course, this far from the only time Fox has made underwear the focus of her outfit this year.
She kicked off 2024 wearing a cutout wedding dress that put her black panties on display, and later wore a bikini over a catsuit at Sundance Film Festival before channeling “Black Swan” in a leather bra at Paris Fashion Week.
In April, Fox opted to skip pants altogether, attending a Knicks game in a tank top and briefs combo — although her Velveeta-hued hair stole the spotlight.
