Another judge has been assigned to preside over the criminal case against former Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez after Jennifer Prinz Harrison signed an order of transfer on Tuesday, according to the IndyStar.
Sanchez, 38, has pleaded not guilty to all charges — including level 5 felony battery resulting in serious bodily injury charge and three misdemeanor charges, battery resulting in injury, public intoxication, and unlawful entry of a motor vehicle — after he was stabbed during an altercation with Perry Tole, a 69-year-old truck driver, at The Westin Indianapolis hotel on Oct. 4.
Harrison recused herself and requested that the Marion County Clerk’s office randomly assign Sanchez’s case to another major felony court in the county. She did not elaborate on her reasoning for the request.
Marion County Judge James Osborn, who took over the case, rescheduled Sanchez’s first pretrial conference for Oct. 22, with a second pretrial hearing taking place in December, and his jury trial set for Dec. 11, according to court documents, which state Sanchez can attend remotely.
Harrison has come under fire from the law enforcement and families of crime victims who felt her punishments were too lenient, Indy Star reported.

Sanchez, an analyst for Fox Sports, was stabbed multiple times after he allegedly attacked Tole — who was parked in the hotel’s loading dock when Sanchez confronted him, according to court documents.
Tole told police that he thought Sanchez was “trying to kill” him and that he pepper-sprayed ex-NFLer and stabbed him two or three times with his (Tole’s) knife.
After the alleged attack, Sanchez was seen staggering along the street clutching his wound after being stabbed in the side, as seen in video footage obtained by The Post.
Sanchez spoke publicly for the first time since the incident after he was booked and processed at the Marion County Jail on Sunday.
“Right now, I’m just focused on the recovery,” Sanchez told a CBS4 Indy reporter as he was leaving the jail. “And I just wanted to thank the first responders, Eskenazi Hospital. . . . I just want to thank Dr. [Lindsey] Mossler, the surgeon. She saved my life, so I’m grateful for that. Sorry I can’t answer all your questions.”

When asked if he’s feeling any better, Sanchez replied, “I’m recovering slowly. A long process.”
