Joy Behar has a new ick when it comes to Donald Trump. On this morning’s episode of The View, the longtime co-host revealed that she can’t stand when the former president says the word “country” — so much so that the sound of the word coming from his mouth makes her feel ill.

During a Hot Topics discussion, the panel played a clip from Trump’s interview with Fox News anchor Sean Hannity, where he reacts to a target letter he received stating he may be indicted for his part in the Jan. 6 insurrection.

In the interview, the Republican one-term POTUS, who is running in the 2024 presidential election, slams the letter as “election interference” that, according to him, has “never been done in the history of our country.” He adds, “It’s a disgrace.”

Back at the Hot Topics table, Behar had a sickening feeling regarding Trump’s reaction.

“Does anybody else get nauseous when he says the word ‘country’? The word ‘country,’ every time he says it, I feel nauseous,” she said. “I don’t think he cares one iota about the country. So every time he says it, it rings true that he’s a traitor.”

Earlier on in the segment, the show played a clip of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who’s running against Trump for the Republican nomination. In the video, he tells CNN’s Jake Tapper that he doesn’t want his opponent to be charged for Jan. 6 and claimed it “won’t be good for the country.”

Meanwhile, Whoopi Goldberg speculated that both men are cut from the same cloth. She even went as far as to say they want a “dictatorship” within the United States.

“DeSantis wants the same kind of country. I believe that he wants to also be a dictator,” the moderator said. “I believe many of these folks who are defending this think this is an interesting prospect. I have to tell you: I never thought in my lifetime that I would see this country come as close to dictatorship as I’ve seen. Ever.”
