Joy Behar couldn’t resist poking fun at Donald Trump after the former president was arraigned in Miami yesterday (June 13) for storing classified documents in his Mar-a-Lago estate.

Behar, always a vocal critic of Trump on The View, launched into her takedown of the 2024 hopeful and her criticism of his indictment, which she said spells out nothing but bad news.

Behar began, “My problem with this whole indictment is that this is the most serious charge against him, more than any of the other charges. And yet, we have a judge in Florida, her name is Aileen Cannon, who is going to be a judge in the case, who claimed that Trump deserved special treatment because he’s a former president. They had to appeal that, which only kicks the can down the road [and] makes the case go into the time that he’ll be running [for office].”

She exclaimed, “She’s a Trump flunkie who’s sitting in judgement of this!”

In a later segment, she jabbed Trump for his remarks last night after his arraignment in Miami. The former president claimed he had an “absolute right” to have classified documents in his Mar-a-Lago home, insisting, “This is the law.”

“He’s not even really denying he had documents he wasn’t supposed to have,” Behar told the panel, before playing a clip of Trump speaking to his supporters at his New Jersey golf club after leaving Miami yesterday.

“I hadn’t had a chance to go through all the boxes. It’s a long tedious job, [it] takes a long time,” Trump claimed of the boxes and boxes of docs found in his bathroom and tucked into other rooms at his Florida estate.

“It’s like the Marie Kondo defense!” Behar scoffed, referring to the organizing consultant known for her Netflix series Tidying Up. Imitating Trump, she continued, “I’m gonna clean up my bathroom and it’s taking me forever to move these nuclear secrets around the house. It’s just exhausting!”

Behar added, “Plus the fact that you don’t have a right to take those documents. The belong to the United States of America, they don’t belong to you.”
