Joy Behar grilled actress Rose Byrne on The View about her frequent collaborations with her husband, actor Bobby Cannavale, who she noted has quite a few “explicit scenes” in his filmography.
Behar brought up Byrne’s “fabulous” husband while discussing her new dramatic feature, If I Had Legs I Would Kick You.
Behar noted that Byrne and Cannavale recently collaborated on her Apple TV+ series Platonic, in which he made a rather “not safe for daytime cameo” that they couldn’t show on The View. “You guys often work together. I understand I mean he had a not safe for daytime cameo in Platonic,” Behar said.
“It was quite raunchy, yes,” Byrne chimed in with a laugh.
“I mean, I won’t say what was happening but it was quite X-rated,” Behar continued. “So, how do you feel about him appearing in explicit scenes and why do you like working together so much? Because most people couldn’t do it.”
Byrne ultimately praised Cannavale, saying she was previously “hesitant” to work with a partner.

“I know everybody’s different. It’s such a personal choice and it was something I was always like hesitant to [do],” she said. “It has just been so fun.”
“He’s my great creative sounding board, always. We’ve done plays together, we’ve done little TV jobs. It’s always fun,” she continued.
Byrne and Cannavale have been married since 2012. The pair share two children.
“You don’t get sick of each other?” Behar pressed.
Byrne maintained that work was “almost more fun” with her husband.
“You’re just back to the two of you, so you get a bit of time,” she said. “He’s such a great actor. I have such respect for his work.”
The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
