It sounds like Joy Behar needs to step up her gift-giving game. On this morning’s episode of The View, executive producer Brian Teta accused Behar of being “cheap” since she never buys him a Christmas present.

During a Hot Topics segment about spending habits, Behar said, “I don’t consider myself very frugal. But Brian told me that because I never give him a Christmas gift, he thinks I’m cheap.” The cameras flashed to Teta, who shrugged his shoulders and doubled down by telling the longtime co-host, “I mean … yeah, a little bit.”

Behar, however, defended her decision to not purchase gifts for Teta.

“You know what? You’re constantly saying, ‘I’m your boss, I’m your boss.’ Why would I give my boss a gift? You’re supposed to give me a [gift],” Behar insisted.

But Teta explained that he once read that Ellen DeGeneres gave her executive producer on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which ran for 19 seasons between 2003 and 2023, a Ferrari “or some kind of really expensive sports car.”

“So, I was just like, ‘Oh, it would be nice to get something,'” Teta added, before Behar quipped, “Boy, that bitch makes a lot of money. I want a raise!”

Teta has never been one to hold back with the ladies. On Wednesday’s (June 11) episode of The View, the EP joked that he’s “looked into” getting a restraining order against Behar — and on the May 29 episode of the long-running daytime talk show, he shared why he didn’t think AI could replace his job as executive producer.

“I figured mine was pretty fine because what computer could handle you guys?” he playfully asked the Hot Topics panel at the time, to which Whoopi Goldberg snapped, “You work an hour a day! What are you talking about?”

Behar then joked, “But that is some hour.”

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
