Joy Behar had almost the perfect vacation to Italy while The View took its spring hiatus last week. While she got to enjoy all the luxurious shopping and fine dining the country had to offer, she admitted to calling one woman a bitch — and explained why to her fellow co-hosts.

When Sunny Hostin asked if Behar “ate well” on her vacation, she replied, “Of course! There’s not a bad meal in Italy. It’s very hard to find.”

However, she didn’t have as pleasant of an experience while traveling. Behar — who told Alyssa Farah Griffin that she “reduced to coach” but refused to go more into detail as it was “too boring a story” — opened up about one snarky encounter she had with an employee.

“The people are very nice. Here and there I had a little — I had to call one woman the B-word. But that’s something else,” she said.

Not completely shocked by the revelation, Whoopi Goldberg inquired if Behar spoke the expletive in English or Italian.

“I said it in English because she wouldn’t let me pee in the first-class lounge,” Behar explained. “I said, ‘Please, let me just go.’ [She said], ‘No.’ I said, ‘Listen, don’t be a bitch.’ She wouldn’t let me go.”

Sara Haines then joked, “Well, after you called her that I’m sure she was gonna be like, ‘Come on in!’”

Despite needing to give the woman a piece of her mind, Behar went on to praise the majority of people in Italy.

“I have to say — not because I’m an Italian-American — I have to say they’re lovely,” she said. “The people are nice. They’re very nice. The food is good. The art is beautiful. What more do you want on a vacation? And the shopping is good, too!”

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
