Alyssa Farah Griffin got in hot water with Joy Behar on this morning’s episode of The View when she took a shot at President Joe Biden. During a discussion about Jon Stewart‘s return to The Daily Show — where he called out both Biden and Donald Trump for vying for the presidency as senior citizens — Griffin said Biden’s team needs to work harder if they want to change the “narrative” about his age.

Whoopi Goldberg offered her own take before Griffin’s when she reminded the panel that Biden is “still doing all the stuff that needs to be done,” but added that he “has got to go” as soon as he stops “being productive.”

“If he’s bad now, I need to see that. I don’t want to just chuck him out because he’s old!” she exclaimed.

Griffin agreed, telling her co-host, “That’s a good point.”

“The White House needs to get away from this narrative by putting Biden out there,” Griffin declared. “It was malpractice that he wasn’t at the Super Bowl. It was the most-watched event since the moon landing.”

Joy Behar, incredulous, piped up, “It was malpractice? Why?”

But Griffin was adamant, replying, “Yes! Because you could have reached 123 million eyeballs to show, ‘I’m vital, I’m working for you!’ I fear the reason they didn’t put him out is because it would reinforce the narrative that he’s not as sharp as he was in 2020.”

Behar shot back, “That’s conjecture,” and Griffin even agreed, but offered, “It is conjecture! But I believe, why would they turn down an earned media opportunity like that? That’s gold, that’s political gold.”

While Biden was not present at the Super Bowl on Sunday (Feb. 11), he did acknowledge the big game with a very 2024 gesture.

The president marked the Kansas City Chiefs’ win by posting a meme of himself with lasers coming out of his eyeballs and the words “Just like we drew it up,” trolling conspiracy theorists suggesting the game was rigged to help him get reelected through Taylor Swift … a sentence I can’t believe I just wrote.

The View airs weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
