Josh Jacobs took a veiled shot at the Raiders on social media Tuesday.
Jacobs, one of the best running backs in the NFL, was slapped with the franchise tag earlier this offseason, and talks on a long-term deal have — apparently — not advanced to his liking.
Tuesday afternoon, Jacobs sent a succinct, two-word tweet: “Bad business.”
Jacobs, 25, would earn $10.1 million on the franchise tag in the 2023-24 season.
He has not yet signed the tag and has stayed away from the Raiders’ offseason program.
Last season, Jacobs led the NFL in rushing yardage (1,653), rushing yards per game (97.2), yards from scrimmage (2,053) and total touches (393).
Jacobs averaged 4.9 yards per carry last season.
He was an All-Pro, made his second career Pro Bowl and was fifth in the AP’s Offensive Player of the Year voting.
“We feel strongly about him as a player and as a person and, hopefully, for us, we can get something done long-term,” Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels told The Athletic in April.
“We didn’t franchise tag him just to franchise tag; we did it to give us an opportunity to have a longer time to work through this.”

Jacobs was also unhappy with the Raiders earlier this offseason when the franchise traded tight end Darren Waller to the Giants for a third-round pick.
“S–ts sad fr [for real],” Jacobs tweeted at the time.
The Raiders are in flux on offense, as they released Derek Carr and signed Jimmy Garoppolo.
However, Garoppolo may not be ready for the start of the season as he underwent foot surgery earlier in the offseason.
