Reggie Miller knew he’d get the heat from Knicks fans on Wednesday night and he did, to the point that Josh Hart made sure he knew exactly what they were chanting to him.
As the Knicks wrapped their 130-121 Game 2 win over the Pacers to take a 2-0 lead in the second-round series, the Madison Square Garden faithful serenaded the former Pacers star and NBA on TNT analyst with a not-safe-for-work chant.
“F–k you Reggie” emanated from the fans down toward Miller, who was courtside as part of the broadcast team for TNT.
After the game, Hart walked over the broadcast table to make sure that Miller heard clearly what the fans were saying to him.
“I think they said f–k you,” Hart told Miller who leaned over and caught the comment on his headset, eliciting a smile from both men.
“I didn’t know if you heard them though,” Hart said as he walked back to the court.
Miller has been public enemy No. 1 for Knicks fans dating back to his playing days during the height of the Knicks-Pacers rivalry in the ’90s and cemented that place with infamous moments that included trash-talking Spike Lee while putting up a game-changing fourth-quarter performance during Game 5 of the 1994 series.
He broke Knicks fans’ hearts again in 1995 when he scored eight points in nine seconds to lift the Pacers to a Game 1 win in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Miller had said he expected to be taunted when he stepped foot back into MSG on Wednesday and boasted that he “owned” New York City on “Inside the NBA on TNT.”
“I’m looking forward to the atmosphere,” Miller said before the game. “I know people are like, “Aren’t you worried about going back to New York City and calling a game?’ No, I’ve owned this city, I’ve owned this building. So why would I be worried about walking on out there? No, I’m looking forward to it, these are two very good up-and-coming teams.”
