It took over two months, but Josh Giddey has his big-money contract with the Bulls.

The restricted free agent has agreed to a four-year, $100 million contract with Chicago, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

The 6-foot-8 guard could have elected to take the one-year, $11.14 million qualifying offer and become an unrestricted free agent next offseason, but ultimately, he got his payday.

Giddey joined the Bulls in June 2024 through a trade from the Thunder, the team that drafted him with the sixth overall pick in 2021.

He spent three seasons in Oklahoma City until the franchise dealt him to Chicago in exchange for Alex Caruso – who wound up playing a crucial role in the Thunder’s 2025 championship.

The 22-year-old fell out of favor with the Thunder after his struggles to shoot the long ball in the postseason in his final season with the team.

But Giddey really found his groove in Chicago – particularly in the back half of the season.

In his season with the Bulls, he averaged 14.6 points, 8.1 rebounds and 7.2 assists on 46.5/37.8/78.1. The assists, rebounds and 37.8 three-point percentage were all career highs.

But the final quarter of the season is where things took off for Giddey, as he averaged 21.4 points, 10.7 rebounds and 9.1 assists in his final 20 games of the season with 49.5/44.3/81 shooting splits.

After re-signing with the Bulls, Giddey projects to be a building block for the team alongside a young core of 2024 No. 11 pick Matas Buzelis, 2025 No. 12 pick Noa Essengue and 25-year-old Coby White.
