The Issue: Iran’s possible financial involvement in the recent attack on Israel carried out by Hamas.
When President Biden decided to give Iran, a country that has always supported terrorism, the $6 billion in frozen assets, the writing was on the wall for Israel (“Biden’s Damning Omission,” Editorial, Oct. 11).
Iran supports Hamas, so in essence, Biden made it more likely Hamas would attack their foes.
We have a country in turmoil due to a lack of leadership, and it’s having horrific repercussions around the world.
He doesn’t have the moral compass to lead. If he did, he would not have been hosting a barbecue for staff as Israelis were being slaughtered in the most barbaric ways.
How long are we going to continue to watch as this clueless octogenarian damages everything that makes our democracy a strong one?
November 2024 can’t come soon enough. Get this man and his party out.

It is no surprise that Iran oversaw the recent Hamas attack on Israel.
Iran funds Hamas, Hezbollah and a myriad of other Middle East terrorist groups to the tune of many millions of dollars. An aggressive, expansionist, antisemitic terrorist tyranny like Iran does not do this out of the goodness of its heart. No, it expects something in return.
In return, Iran expects fealty to its overriding priority of wiping Israel off the map. Fealty means that the recipient groups participate in Iran’s war of extermination against the world’s only Jewish state.
It is the terrorist tyrants of Tehran who are the masterminds and financiers of all of the anti-Israel violence extant in the Middle East today.
It is from them that payment for the recent atrocities inflicted upon Israel must ultimately be exacted, as well as from their brutal pawns in Hamas.

Benjamin Weingarten’s article, “Blame Joe for boosting Iran, weakening Israel” (Oct. 10) deftly summarized the ineptness of President Biden’s foreign policy that has led to the recent attack on Israel by Hamas.
From the beginning of Biden’s presidency, it was apparent that foreign policy was not his strong suit, and his advisers were as clueless as himself.
America has made alliances and funded countries that ended up betraying our trust.
We must stand strong with Israel, and we must acknowledge and condemn Iran’s involvement with this heinous war.

You really have to wonder why Hamas and Hezbollah do Iran’s dirty work for them.
While thousands of Jews and Palestinians will be killed, the mullahs in Iran are relaxing in comfort, watching all of this and knowing that not one Iranian civilian or soldier will be harmed. They are behind these terrorist attacks on Israel, but always keep a safe distance.
All countries in the Middle East need to rally against Iran.

Like every citizen, I feel very concerned about Israel. If Trump were president, the attack never would have happened.
Since the Iranians are definitely responsible for arming Hamas and other factions, they should get a lesson that they will not like.
Immediately, Israel and/or the United States should take out their largest oil refinery and their largest oil field.
That will leave them with nothing to export. They give the revenue from oil and natural gas to terror groups to attack Israel and other nations. Take out their revenue source, and they will become far less aggressive.

Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s warped message that the $6 billion given to Iran can only be used for “humanitarian” uses is a complete falsehood.
Iran uses its money to fund terror groups, whether that money comes from one source or another, it all goes to the same evil causes.
Biden and Blinken have to be fools to think otherwise, so it’s right to state that they are aiding and encouraging Iran in sponsoring Hamas to commit atrocities.
