Joe Jonas has officially filed for divorce from Sophie Turner amid reports that the couple had been experiencing “serious problems” for months, Page Six can confirm.
According to court docs, the singer filed the paperwork in Miami on Tuesday and has tapped powerhouse celebrity attorney Tom Sasser, who handled Tiger Woods’ divorce.
TMZ was first to report the news.
It was reported on Sunday that the Jonas Brothers member’s team had contacted two Los Angeles-area divorce lawyers and was close to filing the paperwork.
According to the outlet, the 34-year-old “Sucker” crooner has allegedly been caring his and Turner’s two young daughters “pretty much all the time” while touring with brothers Kevin Jonas and Nick Jonas.
Fans also noticed signs of trouble ahead of the headlines.
Not only did the duo sell their mansion in Miami last month, but Joe notably did not wear his wedding ring while performing with his brothers in St. Louis, Dallas and Minneapolis in late August.

The missing band was noticeable as Jonas did wear it during the Jonas Brothers’ tour dates at the beginning of the month, including the opening show at Yankee Stadium on Aug. 12, which Turner attended.
The “Game of Thrones” alum, 27, was not present at any at the band’s following performances.
Turner and Jonas began dating in 2016, and the musician proposed the following year.

The couple walked down the aisle in two star-studded wedding ceremonies, the first in Las Vegas in May 2019 and the second in the French countryside the following month.
The singer and actress quickly expanded their family, welcoming daughter Willa and another baby girl whose name they have yet to reveal in July 2020 and July 2022, respectively.

The pair have kept their kids — and their marriage — mostly out of the spotlight over the years.
The DNCE frontman explained the decision to Mr. Porter in November 2022.

“When we started dating, I realized that I didn’t have a ton of stuff that was just for me,” he said. “And in the end, it makes me a better person to have something for myself.”
Turner, however, did gush about Jonas’ effect on her mental health in a rare Sunday Times interview in 2019.
“When someone tells you they love you every day … it makes you love yourself a bit more,” she said. “A lot of [my happiness now] is to do with being with a person I’ve fallen in love with, who loves me more than he loves himself, and who wants to see me find my own happiness.”

The “Waffle House” singer’s famous brothers have been luckier in love, however.
Kevin Jonas has been married to wife Danielle — with whom he shares daughters Alena, 9, and Valentina, 6 — since 2009.
Nick Jonas tied the knot with actress Priyanka Chopra in 2018 and the pair welcomed daughter Malti via surrogate in January 2022.
