Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s divorce documents revealed the first clue about their second daughter’s name.
While the estranged couple have kept the 1-year-old’s moniker a mystery since her July 2022 arrival, Jonas’ Tuesday divorce filing shared her initials.
The little one’s first name starts with a D, as she is mentioned as D.J. in court docs obtained by Page Six.
The duo’s eldest daughter, Willa, 3, is listed as W.J.
In the paperwork, filed in Miami, the Jonas Brothers member sought “shared parental responsibility” of the toddlers while noting that they have been living primarily with him.
The singer, 34, requested that a “parenting schedule” and a “timesharing plan” be established.
When TMZ broke the news Sunday that Jonas and Turner, 27, were heading for divorce, the outlet claimed that Willa and her sister had been with their dad “pretty much all the time” as he toured with Kevin Jonas and Nick Jonas.
While Joe did not comment on the split speculation at the time, he confused fans by performing with his wedding ring back on that night for the first time in many shows.
The DNCE member also posted a black-and-white Instagram photo with the band front and center.
After he filed for divorce on Tuesday, a source told Page Six that tapping powerhouse attorney Tom Sasser and filing paperwork was a “last resort” for the “unhappy” actor.
“He never wanted to break up his family, but he had to take what he felt was the best course of action for his girls,” the insider said. “An unhappy home isn’t a home, and the truth is that he and Sophie were going through it this year.
“There’s a lot of noise out there, but it wasn’t a straw-that-broke-the-camel’s-back situation like it’s being reported,” the source continued, citing “many disagreements” that led Joe to feel “that he had exhausted all options.”
People reported that the pair had been “living separate lives for months,” while TMZ alleged Turner’s partying may have factored into their breakup.
