NextImg:Joan Collins, 90, stuns Emmys 2024 viewers with ageless look: ‘What kind of vampire diet’ is she on?

Her dynasty will be one of youth and beauty.

Joan Collins’ youthful appearance sent shockwaves across the internet during the 2024 Emmy Awards on Monday after appearing next to “Empire” actress Taraji P. Henson during the live broadcast.

Collins, 90, donned a magnificent glittering gown of periwinkle blue with matching blue evening gloves as she and Henson, 53, presented the award for Outstanding Limited or Anthology series.

The British actress, who is one of the last surviving Golden Age of Hollywood stars, completed the elegant look with red lipstick and an elaborate curled hairstyle.

Collins rose to prominence in the early 1980s for her role in the hit television show “Dynasty” where she played Alexis Carrington Colby during the show’s eight-year run.

The “American Horror Story” alum’s youthful appearance sent many X ( formerly Twitter) users into a frenzy.

“Ok what kind of vampire diet is Joan Collins on,” one fan tweeted during the award show. “Girlfriend is 90!”

“No one looks better than Joan Collins at 90 holy s–tballs,” posted another.

“Joan Collins, age 90, at the Emmy Awards tonight,” a third person tweeted alongside a photo of the actress. “I don’t know if she dines on the blood of virgins or has some decrepit old painting in her attic or what, but she’s barely aged in the last 40 years.”

“It’s a bit unnerving,” they added.

“How does Joan Collins, at almost 91, look better than me, at almost 36,” a fourth user laughed.

While Collins’ age-defying secret remains a mystery, the “Empire of Ants” star did reveal that her look was all-natural.

“I’ve had nothing done,” the actress told The Guardian in September 2023. “I couldn’t do all that.”

“First of all, I’m needle-phobic,” Collins continued. “It was my mother who told me to moisturize and use night cream.”

According to the “Ester and the King” star, she also attributes her still-youthful appearance to staying out of the sun and has since encouraged her daughters Tara Newley, 59, and Katyana Kass, 51, to follow in her footsteps.

Even though a large part of Collins’ appearance can be credited to a natural look, the actress did admit in 2012 that she used Botox at least once in her life.

“I had it once in my forehead and it hurt like hell,” Collins told Glamour Magazine at the time, adding that the entire experience disabused her of ever getting plastic surgery.

“Plus, you see all these plastic surgery nightmares these days,” the soap opera star continued. “I have girlfriends who’ve had Botox and been left with lumps in their faces. And the lips, don’t even get me started.”

When asked by the outlet if she ever got offended when people assume she’s had any work done, she replied: “No, no.”

“But you know what they say about plastic surgery, don’t you? It’s the plain woman’s revenge,” she went on. “And the truth is I’ve always taken very good care of my skin, and always, always worn make-up.”
