Jimmy Kimmel kicked off Monday’s broadcast of Live by debriefing on the Super Bowl, but he would be remiss if he didn’t mention the “lunacy” Kanye West got up to by going on a social media rampage and buying ad time during the big game.
Kimmel joked that West is “making a serious run at the title of worst person on the world” after the rapper “went literally nuts” by sharing several anti-semitic posts on X and announcing he’s a nazi.
“You know you have to work pretty hard to make walking the Grammy’s red carpet with your naked wife the 12th craziest thing you did this week,” Kimmel commented. “But somehow Kanye managed to do it.”
“Everything he writes makes me think his account has been hacked,” he continued.
Kimmel then addressed the bizarre Super Bowl commercial West released that the rapper apparently filmed on his phone during a dental appointment. The commercial advertised West’s new online merchandise store that only lists a single item: A $20 shirt with a swastika across the chest.
“I spent like all the money for the commercial on these new teeth,” he announces in the clip shared on Live.
Kimmel joked that West’s “teeth are the one thing in his head I wouldn’t replace” after the publicity rampage he’s been on this past week.
“At what point does he just change his name to Ye-dolf and be done with it?” Kimmel asked on the show. “He’s become Etsy for Nazis.”
This isn’t the first time the late night host has taken aim at West. After West’s wife, Bianca Censori, walked the Grammy’s red carpet in an ultra-sheer dress that left little to the imagination, Kimmel joked that Will Smith should have slapped him as he once slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars.
“I think all would have been forgiven,” he joked.
