Jimmy Kimmel announced the release of Melania Trump‘s memoir this week on Live and pointed out that the former First Lady will be donating some of the proceeds to one of her “favorite” causes.
“Proceeds from sales of the book are going to one of Melania’s favorite charities: Body doubles for conjugal visits,” he joked. “Very good group.”
The late night host added that the book is already ranking among the bestsellers on Amazon and receiving positive reviews from readers. “Here’s one of the reviews: J. Love gives it five stars, says, ‘Wonderful. This is the best book I’ve ever read,’ which is a nice way of saying, ‘I’ve never read another book,'” Kimmel said.
He explained that the book features “the very best anecdotes” from her time in the White House with Donald Trump, including a memory from 2019 where “her husband asked her to come in to watch a classified military operation even though she didn’t have security clearance.”
“Only Donald Trump would call his wife in to watch a top secret mission like it was a TikTok of a baby hippo or something,” Kimmel joked.
Kimmel then cracked a joke to the Live audience about another anecdote Melania supposedly included in the book, and he appeared shocked that the audience seemed to believe the outlandish lie.
The most “stunning revelation” featured in the book, he said, “is that Trump told her that Don Jr. was bred specifically for his organs.”
“Isn’t that something? I made that one up. That one is not true, but wow, the fact that you believe that really says something about either you or him, I’m not sure,” Kimmel said with a laugh.
With Election Day approaching, Kimmel has become increasingly critical of Trump and his politics. He recently blasted the former president for cozying up to Elon Musk and trying to pressure Mike Pence into helping him overturn the 2020 election.
Jimmy Kimmel Live airs on weeknights at 11:35/10:35c on ABC.
