Jimmy Kimmel has been relentlessly roasting Matt Gaetz on Live since the former congressman was shockingly tapped to become President-elect Trump’s Attorney General, despite being the subject of a long-running sexual misconduct investigation.
Trump has been gallivanting around with his son Don Jr., Elon Musk, and RFK Jr. — or the “grab them by the posse,” as Kimmel called them earlier this week — but J.D. Vance has been noticeably missing from these public appearances. Turns out, Vance has been in D.C. drumming up support for Trump’s cabinet picks.
“J.D. Vance is stuck chaperoning the world’s creepiest prom king in Washington,” Kimmel joked after Vance was spotted with Gaetz.
The late night host then aired a clip of “Trump sycophant, human jockstrap” Tommy Tuberville, a senator from Alabama, who defended Trump’s cabinet during a recent appearance on Fox News. “He’s not gonna pick somebody that’s a criminal, he’s not gonna do that,” Tuberville said.
With a laugh, Kimmel explained, “Tommy, I got some news you might want to hear. The President’s a criminal, 34 times over. A convicted criminal.”
He added, “Truth be told, he’s not even looking for a cabinet. He’s looking for cellmates.”

Kimmel added that Gaetz has his work cut out for him if he wants to be appointed as attorney general when Trump takes office.
“He’s got a lot of work to do,” Kimmel said. “Not on his face, he’s already done too much on that… Maybe instead of attorney general, he could be our plastic surgeon general. I think we’d be okay with that.”
The late night host has been brutally roasting Gaetz all week, calling him the “Caucasian Diddy” and the “Venmo-lester” as he stands accused of having sex with a minor and participating in sex trafficking.
He also reportedly made Venmo payments totalling over $10,000 to two women who were later witnesses in the sexual misconduct investigations conducted by the House and the Justice Department, according to ABC News.
“The fact that Matt Gaetz was stupid enough to pay for sex with Venmo, that alone should be disqualifying,” Kimmel said.
Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs on weeknights at 11:35/10:35c on ABC.
