Jimmy Kimmel had some advice to share for Donald Trump with less than a week left until the presidential election: Reel it in.

The late night host pointed out during his opening monologue on Live that the former president appears to be “really spinning out” over being compared to Hitler. But, Kimmel pointed out, Trump has some facts on his side.

“No president in history has thrown more rolls of paper towels at the Puerto Rican people than Donald Trump,” Kimmel joked. “Tell you what, Hitler never did that.”

He continued, “A lot of people, including his own running mate, by the way, have compared him and the things he says to Hitler. [Trump’s] father is the son of German immigrant and his father taught his son a very valuable lesson about this.”

Kimmel then shared a clip from Trump’s recent public appearance, where he said his father taught him to “never use the word Nazi and never use the word Hitler.”

“And now we’re called Nazis and I’m called Hitler,” he told his supporters.

Kimmel sarcastically congratulated Trump, telling him, “You’ve come a long way.”

He then pointed to a recent appearance Melania Trump made on Fox & Friends, where she was asked to defend her husband against such claims.

“You know when you find yourself having to tell people I’m not Hitler, something is wrong. That means it’s time to do a self-inventory,” he said. “When your wife has to answer questions about her husband being a Hitler, it might be time to reel it in.”

On Fox & Friends, Melania denied the comparisons. “It’s terrible, he’s not Hitler, and all of his supporters are standing behind him because they want to see country successful,” she said.

Kimmel recently issued a final plea to Republican voters before Tuesday’s election, telling them during Wednesday’s (Oct. 31) broadcast that they would not be “alone” if they decide to vote blue this election.

“You have a lot of company because hundreds of prominent Republicans and dozens of members of his own administrations, generals, senators, his own chief of staff, I mean Dick fucking Cheney, all believe he is unfit to be president,” Kimmel pointed out. “This has never happened before.”

He joked that Trump’s “adoring, subservient” former VP Mike Pence also “refuses to endorse him,” Kimmel stated.

“I mean, it’s like if milk turned on cookies!” he exclaimed. “How much do you need?”

Jimmy Kimmel Live airs on weeknights at 11:35/10:35c on ABC.
