Jimmy Kimmel roasted the White House’s novel approach to preparing for the annual Easter Egg Roll on Live this week. The Trump administration is seeking corporate sponsorships for the event for the first time ever, with a price tag north of $100,000.
“They’re selling sponsorships to celebrate Jesus rising from the dead that run from anywhere from $75,000 to $200,000 a pop,” Kimmel quipped during Monday’s (March 24) episode. “They’re offering companies various logo and branding opportunities, just as was foretold by the bible.”
He continued, noting that this surprising move is par of the course when it comes to the Trump administration.
“Obviously, this is not something that any administration has ever done before and it brings up a number of ethical concerns. But this isn’t your father’s White House,” he said.
Kimmel then used the story as an opportunity to launch the Jimmy Kimmel Live Easter Egg Roll, sponsored by P.F. Chang’s.
“And with that said I’m excited to announce the P.F. Chang’s Easter Egg Roll Egg Roll powered by Mountain Dew Baja Blast,” he quipped.

Kimmel recently criticized President Trump for claiming he and First Lady Melania Trump will be “praying together” for the storm victims.
After outwardly scoffing at the idea of them praying together, the late night host joked, “Praying together might be the only activity those two do less than sleeping together.”
The late night host has long joked about the president and his wife living separate lives.
“She’ll be wherever he isn’t,” Kimmel joked on a previous episode, adding, “When the First Lady treats the White House like it’s an Airbnb, is that a good sign for the relationship?”
Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs on weeknights at 11:35/10:35c on ABC.
