Jimmy Kimmel cracked a rather shocking joke on Live amid the recent news that Weight Watchers would be filing for bankruptcy protection.

The late night host joked that he could see why the company would be having some trouble considering its leadership choices.

“Turns out the CEO of Weight Watchers – and this might be the problem – was previously the chief financial officer for Shake Shack which is like picking Diddy to be Pope,” he joked. “It’s a problem.”

Kimmel went on to add that, while the company may have established itself as a fixture in early aughts diet culture, the rise of weight loss drugs like Ozempic may have ran it out of business.

“You really had to diet, there’s no magic potion that makes you thin,” he recalled from the company’s heyday. “The problem is now there is a magic potion that makes you thin.”

Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently on trial where he is facing sex trafficking and racketeering charges, in addition to over 80 sexual assault lawsuits spanning decades.

Diddy has recently become a frequent punchline for Kimmel, who has recently joked about the rapper in connection to Hamas, Jeffrey Epstein, and Joe Biden.

When former President Biden pardoned Dr. Fauci, Liz Cheney and others before the end of his presidency, Kimmel joked that he also pardoned the former rapper and entertainer.

“I guess Uncle Joe loves a freak off, I don’t know,” he joked at the time, earning plenty of laugher from the Live audience.
