Jimmy Kimmel invited his wife, Molly McNearney, to join him on Live after former President Donald Trump gave her a bit of a shout out during a recent rally event.
Trump was once again slamming Kimmel’s performance hosting the Oscars this year when he mentioned that Kimmel read one of his social media posts aloud to the crowd that evening. “He gets up and his wife said, ‘Please don’t do it,’ his manager said, ‘Don’t go!'” Trump claimed. “He reads my truth right before the audience… I said, ‘He’s one of the dumbest human beings ever.’ He should have listened to his wife. What a dope.”
Kimmel fired back, “Isn’t that sweet? He’s confusing me with one of his sons again. You think he’s flirting with me?” He then asked the Live crowd, “Should I be worried that trump has mentioned my wife more times at his rallies than his own?”
After sharing a clip from the Oscars where he read Trump’s social media post calling him the “worst host,” Kimmel invited his wife to stage to offer Trump some “good advice.”
McNearney didn’t mince her words as she slammed Trump for stacking the Supreme Court and making it harder for women to access reproductive care across the country.
“Donald, thank you for your support and I’m glad I have your attention because one in three women currently in this country is living under an abortion ban because you stacked our Supreme Court,” she said, while holding an Emmy Award and wearing a t-shirt that read, ‘Isn’t it past your jail time?’ “Thanks to you, women in 21 states can’t make their own choice about their own life and their own body and 10 U.S. states make no exceptions for rape and incest.”
She added, “Women are dying and good doctors are quitting because they can’t get or give the reproductive care women desperately need.”
McNearney offered one searing piece of advice for the presidential candidate: “My advice for you is to shut up and go away, go to Mar-a-Lago, spend all day everyday cheating at golf and masturbating to NewsMax and let a competent woman take over.” Her speech was met with cheers from the Live audience.
Kimmel then asked why she was holding an award and she responded, “This is the Emmy that I won for executive producing the Oscars that were hosted by the worst host in history.”
She then threw that same Emmy Award at her husband when he joked, “Well done. Now get home and make me dinner.” While laughing, he added, “I’m just kidding, she cant cook at all.”
Jimmy Kimmel Live airs on weeknights at 11:35/10:35c on ABC.
