J.D. Vance was once one of Donald Trump‘s few critics on the right before he joined him on the campaign trail this year. And Jimmy Kimmel is not about to let him forget it.

The late night host pointed it out at the top of the Jimmy Kimmel Live broadcast Tuesday after the first vice presidential debate took place on CBS between Vance and Tim Walz.

“We just got finished watching the vice presidential debate between two men who couldn’t be much more different,” Kimmel explained. “One of them called Donald Trump a reprehensible idiot who shouldn’t be president, the other is Tim Walz.”

Vance made the comments leading up to the 2016 presidential election. He also privately compared Trump to Hitler.

“In some ways you kind of feel sympathy for J.D. Vance having to defend Donald Trump who he himself openly denounced,” Kimmel said. “It’s kind of like being Diddy’s defense attorney.”

Aside from Trump’s antics and the presidential race, Kimmel has also been keeping tabs on Diddy’s recent arrest. The music mogul was recently arrested and indicted on racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He was also recently accused of sexual assault by 120 people.

Kimmel recently fact-checked Diddy’s attorney Marc Agnifilo for wrongfully claiming Diddy bought the rumored 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant at Costco.

“Don’t blame Costco for this!” Kimmel said during a recent broadcast. “I know Costco, Costco is a very good friend of mine.”

He ranted to the Live audience about being a “Costco member since 1992 when it was Price Club,” noting that he knows “every item they have.” And, according to Kimmel, they definitely do not sell baby oil in bulk.

Kimmel added, “Costco doesn’t carry baby oil for the same reason they don’t carry bolt cutters: Unless you’re up to no good, you only need one.”

Jimmy Kimmel Live airs on weeknights at 11:35/10:35c on ABC.
