The Jets and Broncos both had elevated expectations this season, but each AFC squad has slumped to a 1-3 start.
New York has a legitimate excuse as the Jets put their eggs in the Aaron Rodgers basket and he tore his Achilles tendon four plays into the season.
The offense has gone nowhere behind former No. 2 overall pick Zach Wilson and is coming off last week’s three-point primetime loss to the Chiefs.
Interestingly enough, Wilson posted his best game of the season against Kansas City by throwing for 245 yards and two touchdowns. The Year 3 quarterback even put up more passing numbers than Patrick Mahomes as the Jets covered as home underdogs.

Denver is back at home after erasing a 21-point deficit in a 31-28 road victory at Chicago. Russell Wilson threw three touchdown passes for the Broncos, but the Bears shredded the Denver defense for 471 yards.
Since the start of 2022, the Broncos own a dreadful 1-9-1 against the spread record as a favorite, including seven outright losses.
The lone cover in this span came against Arizona last season and Wilson didn’t even play in that game as Brett Rypien led the Broncos to a 24-15 home win.
The Jets have had their issues, but you can’t argue their schedule as they have faced the Bills, Cowboys and Chiefs so far. Denver blew home games against Las Vegas and Washington, as the Commanders were routed on Thursday at home by the previously winless Bears.
And you can’t forget about Miami dropping 70 points on Denver back in Week 3.
Let’s back the Jets here as a short road underdog to cover against the Broncos.
