NextImg:Jets vs. Bills player props: James Cook, Dalvin Cook show on ‘Monday Night Football’

Will it be the ‘Cook Show’ on “Monday Night Football“?

Let’s look at some player props for ‘MNF’ in what is expected to be a competitive game between the Jets vs. Bills.

In particular, we are targeting a pair of brothers in Jets newcomer Dalvin Cook and his little brother, James Cook.

The best bet for tonight’s contest is the eldest brother’s receiving prop, which comes in low despite Aaron Rodgers’ willingness to check the ball down to his running backs.

Dalvin averaged more than two catches per game last season with the Vikings.

You can easily just opt into over 1.5 receptions on BetRivers, but you do have to pay some -165 juice on the prop. The Bills do have a swarming defense at times thanks to solid linebacker play, but over 10.5 yards at -110 is far too generous to avoid.

Grab this one with confidence tonight as I project Dalvin closer to 16 receiving yards

Remember, Aaron Jones was sixth in the league in receptions in 2022, and checkdowns to your running backs is a good way to halt the pressure of a bad offensive line.

Dalvin’s younger brother was known for his receiving prowess as he jumped into the NFL, and he has no competition for receptions out of the backfield.

Devin Singletary is gone and his new backup Damian Harris might be a problem near the goal line, but not in spread formations where he can gobble up targets.

In very limited work as the Bills’ lead back, James crossed this number five times last year. It’s worth noting he only played a substantial amount of snaps in 12 games.

With his competition for catches nonexistent and an expanded role expected, place your confidence in the Bills’ budding starter.

Kind of counterintuitive to have an under for Josh Allen and an over for his running back’s receiving yards, but the Jets’ secondary is too good to bet against.

Against the Jets last season, he had just 205 and 147 passing yards. He also averaed just 230.3 yards through the air in 10 games started after the bye week.

Frankly, the number is too high here. As the Action Network’s Tom Casale pointed out, the under 45.5 is a good bet for MNF tonight.
