The Jets tapped into Batman for their newest jerseys.

Gang Green unveiled a “Gotham City Football” design Thursday that the Jets will wear for their Dec. 7 clash against the Dolphins at MetLife Stadium as part of the NFL’s “Rivalries” program.

The Jets’ uniforms and helmets appear to be a darker shade than the signature green, while “Gotham City Football” is written across the padding on the back of the helmet.

The jerseys also contain a logo featuring a sleek jet against a black backdrop.

“It quickly became evident that Gotham City Football was an obvious direction for us to take with the Rivalry uniform,” Jets vice president of fan commerce Chris Pierce said of the new design in a feature posted on the team’s website. “The story influenced our colorways – our green being treated with a filter that reflects the hazy, steamy, smoky city streets. Adding in Black, Light Iron Ore and Dark Stucco all strong identifying elements of New York City streetscape was an obvious decision.

“The nod to the iconic NYC manhole pattern on the shoulder and in the background to the plane is uniquely our own and strong imagery that defines the toughness and work ethic of the people who call this great city home. Adding our fifth uniform and third helmet in 16 months is something we are extremely proud of as an organization. We intend to have uniforms that resonate with our players and fans and demonstrate a deep emotional connection to what it means to be a New York Jet.”

Unveiled this year by Nike and the NFL, the “Rivalries” program aims to “celebrate storied local traditions and unite fan communities with designs unique to select cities and teams.”

The Jets are in the first wave as the program is starting with the AFC East and NFC West, with the jerseys to be worn during a divisional game.

The Dolphins will wear theirs against the Jets on Sept. 29, while the Patriots will do so on Nov. 13.

These jerseys will be part of the team’s collection for three years, per Nike.

The Jets hyped the release with a video on X that certainly has Christoper Nolan-era Batman vibes.

“More than a football team, our origins were chartered based on this city itself,” the narrator said. “We have existed for decades, continually evolving to the heartbeat that surrounds us. This city is more than a skyline, borough or landmark. It’s forged by those who stare down adversity. The patchwork of millions, rising together with ambition, promise and pride.

“For us, it’s not just about where you are going. It’s about where you’re from. Every story has a beginning and this is ours. This is Gotham City football.”
