The break between the spring program and training camp means it is time for our annual countdown of the top 25 players on the Jets roster.
This is the 14th year we have done the countdown, which began in 2012 as way to fill in this dead time.
The Jets roster had a lot of turnover this offseason with new coach Aaron Glenn and new general manager Darren Mougey coming aboard. Gone are some players who have been constants on this list in recent years, such as C.J. Mosley and D.J. Reed. The most difficult part is always projecting how new players on the roster will impact the team. Last year, we overrated Tyron Smith (No. 5) and did not see Jamien Sherwood’s emergence coming (unranked).
We do not put any rookies on the list because it is incredibly difficult to know how they will play in the NFL.
