Now that it’s on the doorstep of being officially, official with Aaron Rodgers – the Jets’ players are reveling in their new quarterback.

A little more than a month after Rodgers went on the “The Pat McAfee Show” and shared his intentions to play for the Jets this season, Gang Green and the Packers finally agreed to the terms of a blockbuster trade to send the future Hall of Fame QB to New York on Monday

The news set off plenty of reactions from the current Jets, including running back Breece Hall and cornerback Sauce Gardner changing their Twitter profile picture to one of a smiling Rodgers during his college days at Cal wearing No. 8  — the number he will reportedly don for the Jets this season.

“ABOUT DAMN TIME!” Hall wrote.

Hall also tweeted that his “Knee feel a lil healthier now” with a crying laughing emoji as he works his way back from a torn ACL that ended his rookie season early.

Offensive lineman Mekhi Becton posted a number of celebratory memes and videos, including the dancing Nets bench along with a photo of his and Rodgers’ faces superimposed over a “Step Brothers” poster

“Dropping this year I heard!!!!!!!,” Becton wrote.

Center Connor McGovern, who re-signed with the Jets on Monday, found even more reasons to be happy after getting the Rodgers’ news.

And I didn’t think today could get any better……@AaronRodgers12 LETS GOOO,” McGovern wrote on Twitter.

Wide receiver Garrett Wilson, the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year, jumped the gun on celebrating the premature news of a Rodgers trade back in March.

Wilson took a more playful approach to the confirmation this time around.

“Stop playin,” Wilson wrote.

The Jets posted their own celebratory video with different clips — including the famous “It’s happening” scene from “The Office” to acknowledge the reports of the Rodgers trade.

And owners Woody Johnson checked in on his fanbase by tweeting “How’s everyone feeling?”

There is at least one rival team very happy to see Rodgers leave for the AFC East.

The Bears’ Twitter account tweeted a meme of a bear waving goodbye to the QB, who tormented them for years.

In exchange for the 39-year-old Rodgers, the Jets agreed to swap first-round picks with the Packers in the 2023 NFL Draft, giving them the No. 13 pick in exchange for the No. 15 pick in the first round.

They are also sending Green Bay a second-round pick (No. 42 overall), a sixth-round pick (No. 207 overall) and a conditional second-round pick in 2024 that becomes a first-round pick if Rodgers plays 65 percent of the plays for the Jets in 2023.

Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst told reporters Monday that the trade isn’t finalized, but he expects it to get done before the draft begins on Thursday.
