The Jets offensive line is adamant one injury isn’t going to ruin what was supposed to be a strength of Gang Green, even if losing Vera-Tucker to a season-ending triceps injury, which he suffered during practice on Tuesday, is a significant blow.
“I feel like nothing really changes for us. Just got to make a few moves, obviously, and those guys are going to take care of whatever they have to take care of,” left guard John Simpson told The Post after Thursday’s practice. “There’s still a lot of hope for this line. We have a lot of guys who have a lot of experience in this league. The guys we roll out are not going to be no slouches. We’re going to be just as ready as we were when he was in there.”
