NextImg:Jets’ Jerome Kapp gets salute from Eminem for ‘8 Mile’ impression on ‘Hard Knocks’

Will the real Slim Shady please stand up?

Jets wide receiver Jerome Kapp did his best impression of Eminem, and the rap icon seemed impressed by the undrafted rookie’s performance.

Kapp became a social media sensation after a clip of the receiver rapping the freestyle scene from the 2002 hit film “8 Mile” went viral after this week’s episode of “Hard Knocks” aired.

HBO cameras captured the performance during the Jets’ rookie talent show in episode three of the season.

After spreading widely on social media, Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, saluted the 24-year-old standout out of Division II Kutztown.

In the clip, Kapp rapped the expletive-filled lyrics for nearly two minutes with the instrumental music playing in the background as the entire team looked on.

The rookie sported a beanie and hoodie and received a standing ovation when he finished.

The effort by Kapp was clearly appreciated, as even Aaron Rodgers joined in the ovation with a big smile on his face.

Kapp is trying to make his way onto the Jets’ 53-man roster this season and has performed well at camp this year.

His chances on the field have been limited in the preseason, however, as he’s reeled in just one reception for six yards on two targets.

The receiver played three years at Kutztown, recording 2,190 yards and 22 touchdowns in 36 career games.

During his redshirt senior season, he had 916 yards on 47 receptions with nine touchdowns.

Kapp will get one more chance to make an impression on the Jets coaching staff on Saturday when they battle the Giants at MetLife Stadium in the preseason finale.
