Nick Mangold is asking for help.

The iconic Jets center and New Jersey resident revealed on Tuesday that he’s in need of a kidney transplant, and is looking for a donor.

“In 2006, I was diagnosed with a genetic defect that has left to chronic kidney disease,” he wrote in a statement posted to social media. “After a rough summer, I’m undergoing dialysis as we look for a kidney transplant. I always knew this day would come, but I thought I would have more time.”

Mangold, 41, is in search of a donor with Type O blood. Those interested in seeing if they are a potential match for the man inducted into the Jets Ring of Honor in 2022 can follow this link and use his full name — Nicholas Mangold — and birthday, 1/13/1984.

“While this has been a tough stretch, I’m staying positive and focused on the path ahead,” he wrote. “I’m looking forward to better days and getting back to full strength soon.”

Mangold, the Jets’ first round pick (No. 6 overall) in the 2006 draft, played his entire 10-year NFL career with the franchise.
