ORCHARD PARK – The action between the Jets and the Bills continued after the final whistle.

The two teams had a skirmish as they exited the field through the tunnel that leads to both locker rooms.

It did not appear that any punches were thrown but things were heated between players from both teams after the Bills’ 32-6 win.

Jets defensive lineman Micheal Clemons and Bills tackle Dion Dawkins were at the center of the kerfuffle.

“I’m not a fan of the Jets,” Dawkins told reporters. “Very disrespectful players.”

Clemons walked out of the locker room when reporters approached him at his locker.

The beef appeared to start in the fourth quarter when Clemons threw Dawkins to the ground at the end of a play.

Dawkins lay on the ground, acting like he was hurt.

He then jumped up and waved to the crowd. 

Jets special teams coach Brant Boyer was trying to calm Clemons down as the Jets came up the tunnel, which is shared by the teams at Highmark Stadium.

“Just guys arguing,” Jets cornerback D.J. Reed said. “It was like some beef or whatever on the field. They have the same tunnel, which I find interesting. Even at halftime, I was like, this could end bad if someone’s got some serious smoke with somebody they could really fight and it’s going to be hard to break it up.

“That’s sort of what happened but it didn’t get to that point.”

Several players walked up the tunnel yapping at each other.

Bills defensive lineman Ed Oliver, Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner and Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley all were shouting as security tried to keep the teams apart.

“I don’t even know what happened but Clemons was real mad about something,” Reed said. “I’m sure the player did something that provoked him. I don’t know what happened so I can’t really speak on it.”
