It’s almost paradise, and Bachelor in Paradise host Jesse Palmer has teased more of what is in store for the next installment of the reality dating spin-off.

While sitting down with Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos on Wednesday’s Live with Kelly and Mark, Palmer addressed one of Season 10’s biggest changes, which is welcoming Golden Bachelor alums to the beach alongside previous The Bachelor and The Bachelorette contestants.

Ripa teased, “Ok, that seems wrong on many different levels.”

However, Palmer insisted that “it’s so right for so many reasons.”

“They’re obviously very deserving of having another shot at finding love, too,” he noted. “But I was in the young cast’s ear the entire time explaining to them, ‘You gotta pick their brains.’ They have had so much life, they’ve had so much experience. You need to get into their psyche and learn about things.”

Consuelos then asked the question that is on all of our minds: “Was there any co-mingling?”

Ripa echoed that’s her “fear,” as well.

“Am I going to be more weirded out than I normally am?” she joked.

Palmer settled the co-hosts’ concerns by sharing what he told contestants.

“This is what I said. I said, listen, obviously we got two generations sharing the beach at the same time. I can’t tell anybody who you can love and who you can’t love,” he said.

Consuelos replied, “Oh my gosh.”

Palmer continued, “But I encouraged everybody to stay in their generational lane. And above all else, don’t make it weird. Just don’t make it weird. That was the biggest thing.”

Though Ripa and Consuelos quipped that “it’s going to be so weird,” Palmer left fans wanting more, telling Live, “I’m not going to say it didn’t happen. You’re going to have to tune in and watch.”

Live with Kelly and Mark airs on weekdays. Check out their website for your local listings. Bachelor in Paradise Season 10 premieres on ABC on Monday, July 7, with next-day streaming on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.
