NextImg:Jeremy Renner says he wrote his ‘last words’ to his family while in the hospital

Jeremy Renner says he wrote messages in his phone that would have served as his “last words” to his family while in critical condition in the hospital after his snowplow accident.

“I’m writing down notes in my phone — my last words to my family,” the “Hawkeye” star tells Diane Sawyer in a new clip teasing their sit-down interview.

Renner, who was run over by his plow on New Year’s Day, also tells the famed journalist that he believes he would’ve died that day had his nephew not been there.

“If I was there, on my own, that would’ve been a horrible way to die,” Renner tells Sawyer in the clip, which was shared on “Good Morning America” Wednesday.

“And surely, I would’ve. Surely. But I wasn’t alone — [I was with] my nephew. Sweet Alex. And the rest of the calvary came.”

The new preview also features never-before-heard audio of the 911 call in which the caller requests aerial transportation because Renner, 52, appeared to be in “rough shape.”

“Someone’s in front of my house on the ground and got run over by a snowcat, he’s been crushed,” the caller says.

“Send paramedics, ambulance… Listen to me. I need — you might wanna get life flight out here immediately,” the caller adds. “He’s in rough shape.”

The first sneak peek for Renner’s interview showed the actor choking up as he said he’d get run over by the snowplow “again” to save his nephew’s life.

“I chose to survive, it’s not going to kill me, no way,” he said of his injuries.

“I’ve lost a lot of flesh and bone in this experience, but I’ve been refueled and refilled with love and titanium.”

Despite his life-threatening injuries, Renner said he’d do it “again” to save his nephew.

As previously reported, the “Arrival” star’s “blunt chest trauma” required him to be airlifted and undergo emergency surgery.

Renner returned home about two weeks later and started documenting his intense rehabilitation and upright exercises, which he began just two months after the accident.

Sawyer’s full interview with Renner airs Thursday, April 6.
