Out with the old, in with the new.
Jennifer Love Hewitt went for a big style switch up to welcome the chillier days ahead, documenting her transformation from long blond locks to red bob on Instagram – and many fans couldn’t believe it was her after seeing the shocking before and after pics.
Hairstylist Nikki Lee shared a Reel showing the process of chopping off the “9-1-1” star’s long, wavy locks into a sleek, short bob and dying it a rich cinnamon hue, with Hewitt giving the camera a kiss as she tousles her new ‘do.
The 44-year-old mom of three also shared her own pics showing off the fresh look, writing, “Before and After! @nikkilee901 Ready for Fall????????.”
Her Instagram followers flooded the comments sections on both posts after the dramatic makeover, like Jodie Sweetin, who wrote, “Gorgeous!! @jenniferlovehewitt this cut and color look stunning!!”
“LOVE IT!!!!!! So stunning” Amanda Kloots added.
While many praised her fall-ready look, others couldn’t get over how the photos looked nothing like the “Party of Five” alumna, with some accusing her of getting plastic surgery.
“More like Jennifer Love Who-dat?” one fan commented on Instagram, while another wrote, “Why did she mess with her face she looks so different from the girl we fell in love with.”
“Did not even know it was her. It’s such a shame that Hollywood makes people do this,” a third fan added.
Fans also took to Twitter to share their surprise over the new look.

“There is no way you can convince me that this is Jennifer Love Hewit,” one fan wrote, while another tweeted, “Okay. This lady’s new hairstyle looks nice, but is Jennifer Love Hewitt behind her or…”
“no way this is Jennifer Love Hewitt 90s kids are in shambles,” a third fan posted.
Earlier this year, Hewitt shared a makeup-free selfie on Instagram to celebrate her 44th birthday, writing that she was “deeply grateful, blessed, happy, sometimes insecure about aging” but “really excited to see what this year has for us.”
After her dramatic makeover, who knows what else 2023 holds for the star.
