Jenna Bush Hager and Today guest host Justin Sylvester celebrated the news that Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez finally tied the knot over the weekend. However, Bush Hager took a moment to chastise Blanco after seeing photos of him on his phone.

The Today hosts were looking at a sweet photo Blanco shared on social media of himself and Gomez when Bush Hager said, “By the way, I thought that picture was so cute because it was like them hanging. But I’m like, ‘Benny, get off your phone! You’re getting married! Put your phone down.'”

But Bush Hager failed to realize that Blanco was not scrolling on his phone during the wedding, he was actually the one taking the photo. “Oh, he’s taking the photo!” she said.

“Hold a minute, hold a minute,” Sylvester responded in shock. “You thought someone took a photo of him on his phone, meanwhile he was taking a photo in the mirror?”

Bush Hager covered her face in embarrassment as Sylvester reminded audiences in Bush Hager’s defense, “America, it’s Monday.”

“But I guarantee you, I wasn’t the only one that thought that!” Bush Hager said. “There were some moms who were drinking red wine on ice this weekend who were like, ‘Get off your phone, Benny.'”

She then defended Blanco herself, adding, “Benny can do no wrong.”

Bush Hager has long been a fan of Blanco and Gomez’s relationship. She told Sylvester that she and Hoda Kotb “actually predicted this engagement” on Today With Hoda & Jenna.

After the couple got engaged, Bush Hager said on Today, “We kind of feel like, you know, we had a hand in that.”

“We did. We love them both,” Kotb said.

Today with Jenna & Friends airs on weekdays at 10/9c on NBC.
